I had a great response to my Three Things I’m Obsessed With Post for March so I’m going to do another product review roundup this month. Today I’m sharing three more current faves that’ll hide your roots, keep you laughing, and tickle your tastebuds. Check them out and be sure to let me know what you think in the comments.
Laughter Permitted Podcast – I’ve been on a podcast binge since the weather has warmed up and I’ve been walking our puppy almost every day. I love listening to podcasts when I walk. In addition to my favorite go-to’s, I recently discovered a new one I’ve been loving called “Laughter Permitted with Julie Foudy”.
Confession #1: I didn’t even know who Julie Foudy was until I stumbled onto this podcast. If you don’t know either, she’s a retired American soccer midfielder, two-time FIFA Women’s World Cup champion and Olympic gold medalist. As if that wasn’t enough she’s also an author and an analyst, reporter and the primary color commentator for women’s soccer telecasts on ESPN.
Confession #2: I’m not really a “sports girl”. I come from a sports obsessed family but it was never really my thing. However, what I do love, is a great sports story and each episode of this podcast is a one-hour interview with a sports icon: Abby Wambach, Simone Biles, Kerri Walsh Jennings, Mikaela Shifferin, etc. It’s a fun, thoughtful, candid conversation with trailblazers in sports about the joy/chaos of life and sports. And I’m enjoying every minute of it!
Oribe Airbrush Root Touch Up Spray – I never promised to share only the most budget-friendly products but I do promise to share the BEST ones. And this Oribe root touch up spray is the best … but it ain’t cheap! I’m now getting my hair colored every four weeks and I simply refuse to go any more often. So, for the last week before my appointment, when my grey roots are showing, I zap them with this spray. (I use the dark brown color, but it comes in X colors.) Microfine pigments blend seamlessly with your natural shade when—and where—you need it. It instantly cover greys and roots between appointments. And, the quick-drying powder formula also absorbs dirt and oil to refresh hair. So it’s kind of like temporary color and dry shampoo in one. And, it lasts for 4-5 days so you do not need to reapply it between shampoos. And before you ask … yes there are cheaper products out there (and I’ve tried a lot of them) but in my opinion, this one is the best.
Aussie Bites – I don’t eat a lot of packaged foods (and very few baked foods) but I make an exception for these Aussie Bites. They’re made with organic ingredients (oats, flax seeds, honey, coconut, quinoa, coconut), are gluten free and no trans fats. The best part is that they’re really yummy. They have the texture of a (slightly dry) mini muffin and a cinnamon-y, coconut-y flavor. You can buy a package of 32 at Costco or on Amazon and I keep them in the freezer and defrost a few at time so that they stay fresh. They’re great with a warm beverage in the morning, or alongside a smoothie, or to stand in for dessert (maybe alongside some fruit).
Every Tuesday I try a new product and post a (brutally honest) review. This is not an ad. I have received no compensation for this post. Check out all of my other review posts HERE.
