How to Make a Kencko Smoothie
Mix Kencko smoothies in any bottle (or use a blender or a frother). The company makes a bottle with a “declumpinator insert” that ensures that their powders get fully mixed into liquid.
It’s important to FIRST add liquid (either water, coconut water, plant milk or even apple juice) to the bottle. Each smoothie packet tells you what’s in it and what liquid is recommended. Then you pour in the powder, give it a good shake for at least 15 seconds. Wait a minute or so to ensure that the powder is fully rehydrated, and then enjoy a delicious drink.
It’s best to make your smoothie when you’re ready to drink it, although it will keep in the refrigerator for about 24 hours. And you’ll need to shake it again before drinking.
Kencko Smoothie Review. So, How Do They Taste?
Kencko makes over 20 different varieties with varying combos of fruits and vegetables so it’s easy to find something that you like. I don’t like bananas and I was thrilled that there were plenty of no/low banana options. Here are the varieties I personally tried and what I thought of them:
- Corals (apples, beets, orange and ginger) – I loved the little kick of ginger in this one which supports gut health
- Purples (strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, raspberries, cranberries, banana and dates) – This was one of my favorites and all of the berries make it a great anti-inflammatory option.
- Peaches (peach, carrot, rhubarb, strawberry, sweet potato, coconut water, flax seed) – Great for healthy skin and electrolyte balance
- Blushes (mango, papaya, strawberries, passionfruit, orange, carrot, beet and a touch of cayenne) – This is the one I tried in the video and it’s very tasty. The cayenne adds a nice pop but it’s not very spicy.
- Greens (spinach, kale, kiwi, pineapple, apple, banana and ginger) – A super healthy option full of fatigue-fighting iron from all of the greens
- Crimsons (acai berries, banana, strawberries, apple, mango, chia seeds and cinnamon) – I liked the cinnamon in this one and it’s got lots of vitamin C and antioxidants to support cognitive function.
Why Five A Day?
Just one in ten US adults eats the recommended minimum of five cups of fruits and vegetables every day. Only one in 20 eats enough fiber. For reference, a serving is roughly equivalent to one cup of chopped fruit or veggies. And all fruits and veggies count — fresh, frozen, canned or freeze dried — as long as you aren’t “juicing” them and you’re getting the full plant and all of the fiber.

- Be sure to check each packet for mixer recommendations. Some flavors mix well with milk or water, and others only with one.
- You can vary the amount of liquid to get a texture that you prefer.
- For a creamier, richer smoothie, use plant milk (almond, soy, oat, cashew, coconut) or add a dose of protein powder or a dollop of yogurt.
- For a tall refreshing smoothie that tastes more like juice, add cold water and ice.
- There are NO added sugars so if you prefer a sweeter smoothie, you can replace half of the liquid with apple juice, use sweetened plant milk, or add a little agave, stevia, maple syrup, honey or monkfruit.
